I got an 8qt bag that was regularly $20 for less than $6. This is nearly weightless and I use it to extend fuel in my alcohol hiking stove. It makes the flame steadier, more wind resistant, and wicks the alcohol in a way that makes it safer if tipped- it won’t just leak out. Because of the steadier flame, it boils water faster and with less fuel. I might even try gardening with it, lol! I now have a lifetime supply for my stoves and then some.

Didn’t realize this Perlite has added Miracle Grow nutrient’s in it. Thought it was just plain Perlite. Threw it in the Garbage.

i have used this perlite multiple times and i can say it is definitely not consistent. There are some times were it is amazing and other times were it is quite powdery. I love the bag i bought most recently practically no dust in the grand scheme of perlite. It could be chunkier but thats what you get for like $6.

I had been trying to propagate plants by rooting them in potting soil and was only getting 30% of my cuttings to root. I learned about successful propagation using Perlite and decided to give Perlite a try. The success of my cuttings went up to 90%. Almost every cutting rooted. Now I have to see how they do in soil, but I’m thinking I will have success. I would definitely try Perlite for propagating plants.

Great for adding into a soil mix for better drainage. The “soil” or moss that is common in most plants from big box stores holds to much water for most plants and can cause root rot. Adding this or your own mix will help plants stay healthy

I use perlite in my garden every year. Why did I receive these 3 bags that I ordered and they are all soak and wet. I wondered why the bags were heavier than normal, I’m outside setting up my garden beds and open the bags and the contents appear as if they have been soaked in a tub full of water. Totally disappointed!!!!
