I noticed the beautiful color first. Then I assembled and popped the first batch. It popped all, but maybe 15 kernels. They did bounce out of the chute at the end, but they all do. My pup was into it. I didn’t time it but seemed to be quick. I love the switch!! My others were plug it in and it is on. I feel like there is so much more control that way. The popcorn was tasty crunchy and perfect. Only smell was the sweet corn flavor right before the first pop. The quality is solid and I love the kind of squatty size. My others were plug was tall and thin and fell over easyily.

I ordered the DASH Hot Air Popcorn Popper Maker with Measuring Cup in white. I only ordered it because it was the best price I could find, however, the negative comments are definitely correct. The positives besides the decent cost is that it’s effortless for prep. You have to be careful when you put the plastic top on, because I could see how easy it would be to break some of the tabs. There is a butter container if you want to melt that which I will not test because the reason I ordered this was for a healthy snack so I don’t want butter. You just plug it in, put in your kernels, and press the power button and wait a few minutes. It does make popcorn fairly quickly, and this thing is quite loud. I used to have an air popper, and I don’t remember that one being very loud. Some of my animals do not like this thing at all. It gets the job done but there are several negatives. This thing is crazy and has a mind of its own. This thing can shoot out alot of unpopped kernels. I have to try and gather them so I can put them back in, but they are hot and burn your fingers. Then some other unpopped kernels will come out as it pops and then a dump of them at the end. Then it seems sometimes this thing just goes completely crazy at the end and starts shooting them all over the kitchen. Then you think it’s done and some more will blow up right in your face. It’s absolute chaos, but it doesn’t happen every time it seems. The animals think it’s fabulous when a bunch of stuff falls on the floor, but I have a dog with allergies so he can’t be out when this thing is on. It’s also hard to find unpopped kernels that fly on the floor. However, because a lot of the good quality ones are so much more expensive, you just get what you pay for and I think it would be unreasonable to expect too much from this unit. I use this everyday and several times a day, and it does get the job done. But if I’m going to keep up this daily habit, I might need a higher quality one because this is too much extra work when I care about the unpopped kernels and grand finale kernel shootout at the end. You’ll have to pick your poison to either pay alot more money for a popper that has more maturity or pay much less and deal with chaos.

My kids love to have popcorn movie nights. I was looking for a healthier option for them and something they could help with (they love to help). This takes only about 3 minutes and gives you a whole bowl of popcorn. First time we made it, popcorn was all over because I didn’t realize how much popcorn it was going to make. Kids thought it was funny! Will warn you that sometimes the seeds come out and pop right in your bowl or don’t pop and come at you, so be careful with little ones around.

This worked well for about 9 months. I was so sad when it just stopped working last night. I was going to replace it, but think I will try a different brand/style. While I loved the healthy air popped popcorn, and it worked quickly, there are several drawbacks. First, one of the little plastic tabs on the lid broke while trying to attach the lid the very first time. Second, it spits some of the hot kernels out before they pop leaving some to pop in the bowl flying out of the bowl bringing other popped corn with it all over the counter and on the floor. Third, it leaves quite a few unpopped kernels in each batch. I feel like I waste a lot of kernels with this. Fourth, it’s very loud. And Finally, only lasted 9 months. For the price, I feel I got my money’s worth. Now I would like to find something with more longevity and that doesn’t make quite the mess.

love this air popper- healthier way to pop popcorn! also saves $$ instead of buying microwave popcorn bags, and better for environment w/o all that plastic wrapping and extra paper in the packaging. also just as quick! I just add sea salt while it’s popping. fits a large bowl under the popper. . arrived quickly, great price.

Our popcorn popper took a swan dive and no longer worked. That is a weekly treat at our house on movie night. Okay. We have it more than that with lots of butter. Guilty as charged. Be that as it may, was on the hunt for a new one and pronto. This pops up (excuse the pun) and matches our retro look toaster color! Had to have it and don’t regret it. Pops the corn with just a kernel or two left not popped. We use a higher grade popcorn (don’t make the mistake of going cheap on any of these air poppers) and like the white. Not over popped either where the popper doesn’t release the popcorn and it has a dried out feel and taste to it. Highly recommend

This machine will do even though there’s too many flaws. The switch is hard to turn off and on. The cover is thin and doesn’t snap in. Seeds are popping up and down and out the bowl. The good thing about this machine is the price isn’t too bad and it’s convenient, easy and fast to make. Popcorn taste good and healthy. No preservative added.
